EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

The Wappingers Congress of Teachers and the Wappingers Congress of Retired Teachers are offering a $2,000.00 scholarship to a senior planning to attend college in September 2025 to pursue a degree in the field of Education (teacher, psychologist, counselor, etc.).  To be eligible, candidates must be a graduate of Wappingers Central Schools OR have a parent or guardian who is a member in good standing of the WCT.

The selection process for these awards will require the following:

• An application
• A high school transcript (including senior year class grades)
• One letter of recommendation
• An essay
• For the finalists, a personal interview

Applications will be available at the WCT Office on March 03, 2025.  Please call 845-227-5065 to request an application, you can pick one up directly at the WCT Office between Noon and 5:00 p.m., or you can download it from the button below.  To be considered, applicants must reach the WCT Office no later than 5:00 p.m., April 11, 2025.

Finalists will be called for a mandatory interview at WCT Office.
