ELLA GRACE SCHOLARSHIP

The Wappingers Congress of Teachers and the Wappingers Congress of Retired Teachers are offering a $2,000.00 scholarship to a senior with special needs who is planning to attend college in September 2025.  To be eligible, candidates must be a graduate of Wappingers Central Schools OR have a parent or guardian who is a member in good standing of the WCT.

The selection process for these awards will require the following:

• An application
• A high school transcript (including senior year class grades)
• A letter of recommendation from School-to-Work Facilitator, if a
• A letter of recommendation from a Special Education teacher
• Personal Response to a Prompt: The following are suggested but not limited to: essay, video, poster, slide show, audio recording, animation or conversation
• For the finalists, a personal interview in which questions will be given to the candidates in advance.

Applications will be available at the WCT Office on March 03, 2025.  Please call 845-227-5065 to request an application, you can pick one up directly at the WCT Office between Noon and 5:00 p.m., or you can download it from the button below.  To be considered, applicants must reach the WCT Office no later than 5:00 p.m., April 11, 2025.

Finalists will be called for a mandatory interview at WCT Office.
