When you retire, you will receive a packet from the Welfare Trust Fund Office. This packet will explain the benefits provided by the Trust that you may continue into retirement. The benefits offered are the same as full time members. There are three packages:
* The Basic package includes dental, vision and hearing aid coverage; * The Enhanced package adds the co-payment reimbursement for your prescriptions (maximum $200.00 per calendar year); * The Enhanced Plus package adds legal services to the above two packages.
These packages are offered on a one time only basis. If you choose not to enroll at the time of your retirement, you will not have the opportunity to enroll at a later date. Retirees can also continue their life insurance coverage. When you receive the above information, you must fill out the forms and return to the WCT office with your payment. The above benefits will continue contingent upon payments received in a timely manner.
